Transit’s public consultations
In total, around 1% of the city’s population was consulted about the Master Transit Plan between 2019 and 2020.
We’ve done the research and have the details to prove it.
How we were informed
In February,
people living on Arlington St. received paper notices in their mailboxes.
Shortly After,
the city held a few public presentations, sparsely attended.
If you learned about the bus thoroughfare up and down Arlington St and Wolseley Ave or the cancellation of the #10, it was probably from one of the residents, NOT the City of Winnipeg Transit Office.
The details
- Up to eight 40-foot buses an hour
- Four in each direction along Arlington St. and Wolseley Ave
- In both peak and off-peak hours
- One bus every 7.5 minutes
- But no right-sized local service
- Wolseley #10 feeder bus – canceled.
We were given only three weeks to write a submission about our concerns. They were dismissed without even a single meeting
