Winnipeg Transit is proposing to turn the Wolseley community into a major bus route. Up to eight buses every hour would come through our heritage community in both peak and off-peak hours. The buses would roll in both directions on Wolseley Avenue and Arlington Street. As well, the existing #10 route will be cancelled.
Transit’s working process was presented and the 70 participants had a chance to ask questions and present alternative route ideas.

“Some residents have already experienced flooded basements from broken pipes at a time when there were only three buses an hour traveling northbound only. The City had to absorb the cost of repairs but homeowners also had damages.”
“Loss of parking is a serious concern. There is already high pressure on street parking on blocks with co-op housing, multi-family rentals, apartment blocks, and one-hour parking zones.”
“Arlington and Wolseley have not been rebuilt in decades – well before the memory of most residents. Calls to 311 to repair crumbling asphalt and concrete with potholes, cracks and sinkholes result in spot treatments.”
